Founded in 1985, New Image Productions/Michael Designs has a vast experience in unique and memorable high-end fashion show and event production.

1980s

Karim Atash and Michael Diaz established New Image Productions/Michael Designs as a full service window display design company in the mid 80s. With their passionate and fresh approach to design, the two founders created atmospheric award-winning window decorations for a variety of retail clients such as Caché, a mall-based specialty retailer of lifestyle sportswear and dresses.

1990s

During the 1980s and early 1990s, the fashion industry took over the South Beach, Miami area. The clothes worn on the television series such as “Miami Vice” had a significant influence on fashion, thus photographers were drawn to the flawless beaches and modeling agencies to the prime locations. New Image Productions/Michael Designs participated actively in the development of this brand new created industry, by providing state of the art production services for fashion shows. Brands like Chanel, Versace or Missoni relied on the outstanding set ideas, the high quality standards and the extraordinary eye for details of the company and its staff. During this time, Karim and Michael also added convention and trade show production to their service portfolio and even won an award for the best trade fair both at a furniture convention held in Miami. The judges and public were not only impressed by the innovative design concept but especially by the cutting-edge technology that the company was able to provide at that time already.
